Kids Explain
Role: Visual Direction, Graphic Design, Motion Design | Company: HiHo Kids
HiHo was creating a new series for their YouTube channel called Kids Explain—a show where the kids are given the chance to share their unique perspectives, thoughts, and ideas to adults on subjects ranging from explaining music to a deaf person to explaining school lockdowns to parents. I was tasked with creating the visual identity and design for it along with a title card and executing the animation. With the overall look, it needed to feel like it was part of the HiHo brand, so I used the brand’s playful color scheme, and married it with the visual elements of building blocks to represent how a child’s brain would form ideas and thoughts into concrete ones.
